Mouse getting stuck

Since I got a new wireless mouse and keyboard for my desktop, my mouse is very sluggish. Sometimes I have to click a link 3-5 times on a link before it actually works. The movement of the cursor is fine. Generally this happens when I switch from one window to another. I have a wireless for my laptop and have never had a problem.

I seem to remember reading about a windows or mouse tweak like Mouse GUI or something that takes care of this, but I'm not sure.

Any advice?

Have you messed with the mouse click settings? I picked up a wireless mouse and had to adjust it to get it to click links with better timing.
